We are pleased to inform you of the following announcement from the Soke:

Hakkoryu has been reorganized as a General Incorporated Association under the name Hakkoryu Association.

In simple terms, this means that Hakkoryu has been incorporated as a legal entity.
The Representative Director is Okuyama Ryuho (Nidai Soke), and the Director is Okuyama Takashi. These positions correspond to what is commonly understood as “Chairman” and “President.”
Unlike the previous structure, which was managed as a sole proprietorship, the organization has now been fully formalized.
Beginning next year, the Soke will personally appoint the official overseas representatives.

Please also understand that in the past, there have been instances where individuals acted on their own, offering unsolicited opinions to the Soke and unilaterally recognizing others as representatives. Such actions will no longer be tolerated. if similar conduct occurs in the future, disciplinary action will be taken through the General Assembly. This decision has been formally approved at the Assembly.

Furthermore, all certificates, scrolls, uniforms, and membership cards issued directly from the Headquarters (by Okuyama Takashi) are authentic. Gifts such as scrolls and garments from Headquarters are also genuine. Recently, there have been false claims that scrolls given as gifts from Headquarters are not authentic. This is completely untrue and has caused considerable trouble. Please be assured that only items issued or gifted directly from Headquarters are authentic. Any items sent from other sources are not official.
